What is High Density and what is Low Density

To purchase the right memory for you system, you may need to know this.

First, both High Density and Low Density memory will provide the same capacity for your system if your system can recognize them.

High density memory is a good low-cost computer upgrade solution but it will not be recognized by some systems. The Low density memory is so called the industry standard memory, it will run all kinds of systems, but its cost is higher than High density one.

High Density memory is made by 128x4 or 64x4 chips, and Low density is made by 64x8 or 32x8 chips. Your system's Chipset (On the Motherboards) will determine if you can use the High Density memory or Not.

For most of purchase on DDR 1GB (DDR3200/2700/2100 1GB):Pleasa make sure your mainboards chipsets is from the list below, so you can use the High-Density Memory Moduls.

(MAINBOARD'S CHIPSETS CAN SUPPORT HIGH-DENSITY DDR MODULE)

For most of purchase on SDRAM 512MB (SDRAM PC100/133 512MB):Pleasa make sure your mainboards chipsets is from the list below, so you can use the High-Density Memory Moduls.

(MAINBOARD'S CHIPSETS CAN SUPPORT HIGH-DENSITY SDRAM MODULE)

NOTE: IF YOUR MAINBOARD'S CHIPSETS IS NOT FOUND FROM THE LIST ABOVE, THEN YOUR MAINBOARDS CAN ONLY USE LOW-DENSITY MEMORY, SO CALLED INDUSTRY STANDARD LOW-DENSITY MEMOERY MODULE. IT WORKS WITH ALL MAINBOARDS.
